In the distant South Pacific nation of Fiji, Guangdong is building bridges between China and Fiji through multiple channels, including education and medicine. The local Yat Sen School, the largest and oldest Chinese-language school in Suva, allows students to learn Chinese and explore Chinese culture, with books and teaching support provided by Guangdong.
At the same time, the Guangdong medical team works alongside local doctors at Suva’s Colonial War Memorial Hospital , sharing advanced medical expertise and techniques, bringing health and hope to patients. These parallel bridges of education and medicine not only transmit knowledge and save lives, but also stand as a vivid testament to the enduring sister-city ties and friendship between China and Fiji across the ocean.
